FLARE November Program, November 15, 7pm ET
Join FLARE for "A Tour of the National First Ladies Library." Director of Collections and Research Michelle Gullion from the National First Ladies Library & Museum will take viewers on a special behind-the-scenes tour of some of the more fascinating First Ladies items in the collection. She will discuss the items’ history, provenance, and significance to the legacies of these inspirational women. The program includes a welcome by FLARE president Myra Gutin and will include Q & A.
The National First Ladies Library in Canton, Ohio has as its mission to "preserve, promote, and educate about the significant role of First Ladies of the USA and their contributions throughout history." Find them at https://firstladies.org.
Michelle Gullion is the Director of Collections and Research at the National First Ladies Library & Museum. Before starting at the site in 2005, she worked at the Akron Art Museum. Michelle creates all the exhibitions as well as cares for the growing collection. She is passionate about women’s history and enjoys sharing her studies about the lives and contributions made by the First Ladies of the United States.
