FLARE is conducting its 2nd Annual Online Auction, "A Curated Auction of Exceptional Experiences and Finds," starting November 19th at 9:00 am and ending December 10th at 8:00 pm at Live Source. The auction is an excellent way of both supporting FLARE as a 501(c)(3) in our important mission of promoting research and education on the impact and lasting legacies of US first ladies, and finding very special items for your Holiday Shopping. FLARE members can help by donating or making contacts for auction donations. All profits from FLARE’s 2026 online auction will go to FLARE’s general fund to enable us to continue providing the open-access journal and free, robust virtual and podcast programming.

 

Donated items must have an actual value of at least $50.00 and be in perfect/excellent condition. The auction is open to items dealing with any subject. We will accept new, vintage, and antique pieces. The donor is responsible for the cost of mailing any items and will receive a donation receipt for tax purposes for the value of the article and the cost of shipping. Auction categories include a full range, including: Exceptional Parties, Dinners or Lunches; Special Tours and Classes; Unique Experiences; Customer Service; Hotel/Condo Stays; Fine Jewelry; Small Items, including China, Crystal, Sterling, furnishings; Tickets to Events; Baskets; Books; Artworks; and Apparel.
