It has come to our attention that Inaugural Lifetime Member Dr. Pamela Bourland-Davis passed away on May 7, 2025. Pam was a professor at Georgia Southern University for 40 years and served as chair of the Department of Communication Arts for 19 years. She was a public relations and media expert who applied her knowledge to an analysis of first ladies, including as co-author of the chapter "Rosalynn Carter, Mary Finch Hoyt, and the Media: The Rise of the Steel Magnolia," In Media Relations and the Modern First Lady: From Jacqueline Kennedy to Melania Trump, edited by Lisa M. Burns. Pam was active in a variety of professional associations and enjoyed traveling and looking for antique treasures.
