○      Grover Cleveland was unmarried when he began his first term, but he married Frances Folsom Cleveland shortly into that term, which made them the only first couple to be married in the White House.

○      Frances Cleveland was immediately popular when she became first lady; she held two receptions per week and was regarded with celebrity status.

○      Frances Cleveland was the first first lady to have a child in the White House.

○      Frances Cleveland was the only first lady to preside in  two non-consecutive terms.
